Consultation Workshop on the Use of Remote Sensing for an Operational Logging and Degradation Monitoring System

Objectives:

1. Introduction on Remote Sensing Technologies and their potential for the detection of forest degradation for REDD+, NPA and PFA management and monitoring of conversion logging in a future FLEGT TLAS
2. Current state of the development of systems for monitoring of logging and/or degradation in different projects under DOFI and DOF
3. Discuss options to develop and pilot an Operational Logging and Degradation Monitoring System for Lao PDR
4. Conclude on the next steps
