On 20 October 2022, the Department of Forestry organised a Technical Exchange Meeting on the Wood Processing Manufacture Standards and the Management and Monitoring of Timber Inputs and Outputs at Silver Naga, Vangvieng, Viengchanh Province. The meeting was held and chaired by Mr Sousath Sayakoummane, Director General of the Department of Forestry and other stakeholders and partners, namely, the Department of Forestry, Department of Forest Inspection, Cabinet of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forest, Department of Industry and Handicraft, Department of Import and Export, Faculty of Forestry Science, Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Lao Wood Processing Association, Lao Furniture Association, FLEGT-FC, and GIZ- ProFEB.
